I had some Islay that my FIL bought from Trader Joe’s the other day. I didn’t much care for Isalys before when I tried them years ago but that was quite good. Now I’m thinking of picking up some Laphroaig or Lagavulin to give them a nother try.

Highly recommend the Quarter Cask. Very good for money... until LCBO kept jacking the prices up here.

I made an old-fashioned w/Woodford Rye.
Lemon peel , orange bitters, and a drop of agave with a splash of soda water (I’ve started subst ituting for simple syrup).
Cheers. Will likely sip some whisky later.
